How Much Does It Cost to Get a Medical Marijuana Recommendation?

What is Medical Marijuana Used for?

Medical marijuana is used to help relieve symptoms of some debilitating conditions.  

What Health Conditions Qualify You for Medical Marijuana?

Louisiana law allows any condition considered to be debilitating to a patient to be treated with medical marijuana. Some of the conditions include: 

  • Anxiety  
  • Insomnia 
  • Pain 
  • Cancer  
  • AIDS/HIV 
  • Cachexia  
  • And more

Are There Any Side Effects with Medical Marijuana?

Medical marijuana is a form of medication so like all medications, side effects vary from person to person. Sometimes severe side effects can occur, but they are usually mild or moderate and stop quickly. Some potential side effects include: 

  • Dizziness 
  • Fatigue 
  • Dry mouth 
  • Light-headedness 
  • Drowsiness 
  • Nausea  
  • Increased heart rate

Can I Continue Taking Other Prescription Medications with Medical Marijuana?

THC and CBD interact with many common medications. Some medications include:

 We recommend discussing current medication with a medical professional before starting treatment with medical marijuana. 

Does The Medicine Cabinet Offer Delivery?

Yes!  Deliveries are available on Mondays and Thursdays. Orders must be placed and paid for through our website. Patients must be home to show their ID and sign for medication to receive their delivery. 
Delivery is free for orders $300+. For orders under $300, a $20 delivery fee will be applied.  
There is a minimum delivery order of $100. 

What Forms of Medical Marijuana are Available at The Medicine Cabinet?

We currently offer cannabis tinctures, edibles, distillate syringes, topical creams, metered-dosed inhalers, and raw flower.   

How Old Do I Have to be to Obtain Medical Marijuana?

You must be 18 years or older to qualify for medical cannabis in Louisiana.  

 

However, licensed physicians can recommend medical marijuana in approved dosages to any patient with a debilitating condition.
